Narrow alveolar ridge remain a serious challenge that may seriously effects the successful placement of endosseous implants. Narrow ridges may intrude the right positioning of the implant as well as the final restorative result. This is most likely apparent in the esthetic zone, as, even small alveolar bone collapse is highly recognizable and has great effect on final esthetic outcome. Several onlay grafting, and bone block augmentation methods were used to increase the width of the bone. Bone splitting is another variation option for horizontal bone augmentation by means of a gradual separation between labial and lingual or palatal cortexes, it is mostly indicated where the available bony width is limited to 3-5 mm.
